Gorgeous Moraine Lake

This wide landscape shot captures the iconic alpine panorama of Moraine Lake in Banff National Park, Alberta, viewed from the vantage point atop the Rockpile. The glacial lake glows in brilliant shade of vibrant, milky cyan-turquoise, created by rock flour suspended in the water. Sunlight accents different depths across the lake bed, giving the water a gradient of electric blue tones.

Flåm Valley

This is a classic view looking up the Flåmsdalen (Flåm Valley) in western Norway, framed by towering, steep-sided mountains and the winding Flåmselvi (Flåm River). The photo beautifully illustrates a classic U-shaped glacial valley. The flat, fertile green valley floor sits dramatically between sheer rock walls carved out during the last ice age, reaching elevations over 3,000 feet (1,000 meters).

Iceland is such a cool and interesting place, and there's so much to see. This macro-style shot captures the intense geothermal activity of Námaskarð (Hverir) in northern Iceland, focusing on a churning mud pot (mver).
